The Healthy River Initiative is proud to announce a $100,000 grant award from the LOR Foundation. See attached press release from the LOR foundation.
The Mission of the Healthy River Initiative is to build collaboration amongst all stakeholders to develop a long term strategy to improve water quality, quantity and the biological health of the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River for all beneficial uses. We envision a river system free from water quality impairment able to sustain healthy flows throughout the year.
Current partners include Agricultural Producers, Ditch Users, Wyoming Game and Fish, Popo Agie Conservation District, City of Lander, The Nature Conservancy, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and other individuals and agencies interested in the overall health of the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River.
The funds will be used for an educational symposium, data collection on the system, and to leverage other funding sources for projects that will further the mission of the Healthy River Initiative.
