Frontier Academy graduate recognized at Riverton School Board

The Riverton School Board last night honored Tanner Schatza with a brief graduation ceremony as she completed her high school requirements at the Frontier Academy. “Thank you to the board for making Frontier Academy possible," she said before accepting her diploma. "I was dropped three or four time at RHS so I dropped out," she said. "But Miss Shanell Stanley (Frontier Academy Success Coach) asked me to come, it was a good opportunity and I thank the teachers at Frontier Academy who helped me." Academy instructor Andrew Coleman said Schatza had a struggle with medical issues while at RHS. "Tanner is a perfect example of students we hope to serve. She needed five credits to graduate," he said. "She is an outspoken young lady with an interest in criminal justice. I hope she continues down that path because they need people who have walked that road." Board Chairman Dean Peranteaux congratulated Schatza for all the hard work she had done to get her diploma. "Frontier Academy was started to help students like you," he said.
