Ninety Veterans received Quilts of Valor Thursday with Thanks for their Service

The floor of St. Margaret's Gymnasium in Riverton was nearly filled with veterans, their loved ones and friends Thursday night at the sixth annual Quilts of Valor presentation. Some 90 veterans, ranging from service in World War II to the present were honored with the handmade quilts, presented with thanks, ovations and a hug. Each branch of the service was honored at the ceremony, including the Army, Navy (incl. Marines and SeaBees), Air Force and Coast Guard. Each veteran's military service and the years in which they served, and at what locations, was announced. Several veterans who could not be there were represented by family members, who accepted the quilts on their behalf. Some of the recipients are pictured below and in the mosaic photo above. *Photos: Pitchengine Communities* [image: Inline image 1] [image: Inline image 2] [image: Inline image 3] [image: Inline image 4] [image: Inline image 5] [image: Inline image 6] [image: Inline image 7] #county10
