One killed in crash at WYO 789 and Burma Road Saturday

Fremont County Coroner Mark Stratmoen said Sunday that a 25-year-old male was the victim of Saturday's crash on Wyoming 789 near the Burma Road intersection. "The male died at the scene, but I am not releasing his identity or place of residence until the family has a chance to notify all of their family members," Stratmoen said on Sunday. "The crash is still under investigation." It is believed the victim was driving a pickup truck. His truck and a semi-tractor trailer unit collided. According to a report from the scene, the tractor-trailer driver was not seriously injured and was treated and released at SageWest-Riverton. The truck ended up on its side in the barrow ditch. The highway was closed for a considerable time as the investigation was launched and the debris in the road was cleared away. The Wyoming Highway Patrol has not yet issued a report on the crash.
