Dispatch: Salad bar thief reported; truck stolen in Lander

Here is Thursday’s recap of law enforcement action around the county. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Kayleb Roskowske*, 19, Riverton, Armed Robbery *Ronald Brown*, 49, St. Stephens, Public Intoxication *Christopher SunRhodes*, 62, of Arapahoe, Public Intoxication *Ronald Tsosie*, 50, Riverton Public Intoxication *John Chavez*, 33, Riverton, Public Intoxication Calls: There were 35 calls for service. Police were called by the ex-wife about a divorce settlement in which she was awarded the former couple’s truck. She reported her ex-husband, who is now in Lander, won’t give the truck up. She was advised it was a civil matter and if she continued to have problems, to contact the Lander Police. Central Wyoming College Security handled a case of a woman looking into vehicles at the Health and Science Center parking lot just before 10 a.m. The strong wind on Wednesday knocked a power line down in the 900 block of West Main. The Fire Department and Rocky Mountain Power both responded. A hit and run crash was reported in the Walmart parking lot where a silver Dodge Charger was struck in the bumper causing $500 in damage. The vehicle that struck it left the scene. A 68-year-old woman who had fallen and requested help getting back up was assisted at 12:47 p.m. in the 900 block of Elk Drive. A man who had fallen and injured his head was taken to the hospital by Fremont County EMS at 1:11 p.m. from the 600 block of North Federal. Police were called for an intoxicated man in the city courtroom, but he was gone when an officer arrived. One of Riverton’s School Resource Officers is investigation a report child abuse/neglect case. No other information was immediately available. A two-vehicle collision was reported at 4:17 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot. A police report indicated a gray 1984 Toyota struck a 1995 green Ford Explorer. Over $1,000 in damage resulted. A woman eating from the Trailhead salad bar using her hands ran out of the restaurant after police were called. The woman got away. A black MPG Scooter valued at $90 was stolen from the Riverton Library. The report was called in at at 5:37 p.m. The West Main Maverik Country Store reported that two males entered the store at 10:27 p.m. and grabbed armfuls of soda, candy and gum, ran out of the store and drove off in a white passenger car. Police are waiting on an itemized list to determine the value of the loss. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Tyler Garrett*, 22, Casper, Driving Under the Influence and Open Container. *Jared Maloff* for a Warrant. Maloff was arrested after deputies took a complaint about one person supposedly stealing another's dog. *Calls:* At 8:29 a.m., a caller in Dubois reported two telephone boxes were shot by an unknown individual. One was at Highway 26 and East Fork, the other was at Highway 26 and Wilderness Road. At 8:37 a.m., a caller in Lander reported some poultry left without food. At 1:44 p.m., a caller in Dubois reported that someone broke into a home. Nothing was found missing. At 5:32 a.m. on Thursday, a caller in Crowheart reported that someone might have tried to steal his vehicle. The case was in the Wind River Police's jurisdiction. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Kyle Noisyhawk*, 25, Lander, Driving Under the Influence. *Adrianna Noisyhawk*, 21, Lander, LPD Warrant. *Calls:* A minor hit and run was reported on Clinchard Street on Wednesday morning. Harassing text messages were reported after 2 p.m. yesterday. An unknown male subject reportedly stole a $1.99 candy bar from a convenience store after midnight on Thursday. At 4:36 a.m. on Thursday, a caller on the 200 block of Jefferson Street reported that their vehicle was stolen. The silver 2001 Dodge Dakota was left running and unlocked; it was soon recovered on the Wind River Indian Reservation. Suspects are unknown at this time. *Fremont County Coroner* The coroner's office reported two deaths on Wednesday, those of a 54-year-old Lander male and a 68 year-old Riverton male. Both deaths are under investigation, but nothing suspicious is indicated. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews were called out 14 times on Wednesday into Thursday morning. *Fire Departments* Countywide firefighters responded to seven calls for service. #county10 #news
