Shoshone National Forest Travel Management meetings set for December

The Shoshone National Forest will hold the next round of public meetings for travel management in mid-December. These meetings will give the public an opportunity to see all proposals submitted for summer motorized use, gain an understanding of what factors will go into the decision making process for the Shoshone National Forest, and be introduced to the process for winter motorized use. Meetings will be held at the following times and locations: • December 15, Headwaters Art and Convention Center, 20 Stalnaker St., Dubois, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. • December 16, Lander Community Center, 950 Buena Vista Drive, Lander, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. • December 17, Grizzly Hall, Park County Library, 1500 Heart Mountain Street, Cody, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Through the travel management process, the Shoshone National Forest is committed to working with all publics to identify opportunities for motorized use that fit with Forest plan direction while maintaining the backcountry character of the Shoshone National Forest.
