Dispatch: Meth, marijuana and assaults

Here is today’s recap of law enforcement action around the county. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *Clarence Behan*, 44, Riverton Driving While Under the Influence *Jennifer Poeverlein*, 26, Lander, Interference, and a *26-year-old Lander man* was cited for Domestic Violence. According to an RPD report, the man allegedly slapped the woman and then took a steak knife and stabbed himself in the chest. The knife wound went about an inch deep. Poeverlein was arrested after she allegedly kept getting in the way and blocked the EMS crew from reaching the man. The male victim was transported to the hospital. *Joseph Moore*, 31, Jerseyville, IL, Public Intoxication (0.19% BAC) *Brandon Laforme*, 30, Riverton, Domestic Violence. He allegedly slapped his wife. *David Lonebear,* 32, of Arapahoe, Domestic Assault, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Methamphetamine. Also arrested was *Charlie Whiteman*, 38, of Arapahoe and *Victor Addision*, 25, of Arapahoe, both on Contempt of Court warrants. Laforme allegedly slapped a woman in his hotel room at the Tomahawk Motel on East Main which resulted in a police response. *Calls* *There were 29 calls for service.* A property damage crash was reported on Pioneer Avenue when a gray 2012 Toyota ran into a pile of snow resulting in a cracked bumper. Damage was under $1,000. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 500 block of North 6th East. The caller said they did not recognize the vehicle parked at a home there. Police found out the vehicle belonged to the next-door resident’s grandchildren, who were visiting. A two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:10 p.m. at West Sunset and Sherry Drive. Involved were a white 2005 Toyota and a gold 2003 Honda. Damage was said to be over $1,000. A man who showed up at Atlantic City Federal Credit Union to do his banking was also wearing a holstered weapon. Someone called police to report an armed robbery which resulted in a strong response by officers. Both bank officials and the man said he was just there to do some banking. It is legal to carry a holstered weapon in Wyoming unless a business posts a sign otherwise. An injury crash was reported at 3:31 p.m. in the 500 block of South 1st Street. A report on the wreck was pending. A property damage crash was reported just before 4 p.m. at Riverton High School. A white 2006 Suzuki crashed into a fence. Damage was over $1,000. An 11-month-old female was taken to SageWest Riverton’s emergency room with a gash on the back of her head. Police were told children were playing and one child was swinging another when the child was struck from behind by the feet of the child being swung. No action was taken. The school resource officer at Riverton Middle School is investigating a claim that a boy there with an Instagram account was trying to convince girls at the school to send him inappropriate photos. *Lander Police Department* Lander Police did not release any call details today. Those will be reported when they become available. *Fremont County Coroner* There were no coroner calls on Tuesday. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *David Fann*, 19, Lander, two Probation Revocations. Calls: The Fremont County Treasurer's Office reported receiving a couple bad checks. At 10:31 a.m., a report of a shoving match between a couple people on Lyons Valley Road near Lander. The investigation has been forwarded to the prosecutor's office. At 1:43 p.m., a caller on Highway 789 near Riverton reported that the driver of a vehicle was doing drugs with children as passengers. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. At 5:43 p.m., a caller on Red Feather Road wanted someone escorted off the property before a fight got physical. Deputies determined there was no physical altercation. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 17 calls for service on Tuesday. *Fire Departments* Lander Volunteer and Riverton firefighters both responded to a single call. #county10 #news
