Lander Golfer signs to play at Central Wyoming

The head golf coach at Central Wyoming College has announced the signing of a Lander Valley High School golfer to attend the Riverton-based college. Kolbey Wells, a senior at LVHS, signed a national letter of intent to play golf at CWC, Coach Pat Rafferty said. Wells will join the team fall 2016. The Lander athlete has been playing golf for the last four years. “I thought it would be a good hobby to pick up and I ended up really liking it,” Wells said. “It has taken me to college level, so I’m happy with my decision.” [image: Inline image 1] *Wells signed his letter of intent with his high school coach Terry Berg, his new coach Pat Rafferty and his parents looking on. * “Kolbey’s best golf is ahead of him,” said Rafferty. “I really expect him to give us some quality depth and we need to improve our number three, four and five man scores and I hope Kolbey can contribute immediately in any of those positions.” Wells will pursue a degree in physical education. “I want to be a P.E. teacher or a coach,” he said. *Feature Photo: Wells is all smiles after signing a National Letter of Intent to play golf at Central Wyoming for the Rustlers.
