Dispatch: Arrests; Motorist cited for running red light, causing a crash; Three juveniles caught drinking at Riverton bar; Fort Washakie resident found dead

Here is Tuesday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law: *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *A 17-year-old Lander juvenile* was cited for Simple Assault and released to the Department of Family Services *Curtis Wren*, 21, Riverton, arrested on a Fremont County warrant *Calls* A property destruction, that of a broken sign, was reported at 125 Main Street Tuesday morning. Damage was estimated at $300. A property damage vehicle crash was reported in the Safeway Parking lot at 3:06 p.m. when one vehicle backed into another. Damage was estimated over $1,000. A deer that was struck by a vehicle on East Main Street across from Fremont Motors on the hill was dispatched and removed. A juvenile that refused to leave the ice skating rink at City Park was contacted by police and he then went home. A side door was apparently left open at the Lander Community and Convention Center overnight. An officer checked the building and then locked the door. *Riverton Police Department * *Arrests/Citations* *A 64-year-old Riverton female* was issued a citation for Failure to Obey A Traffic Control Device. The woman allegedly ran a red light at East Park and North Federal and crashed her 2005 Chevy Cavalier into a Dodge Ram 3500 pickup driven by a 31-year-old Riverton man. There were no injuries. Damage was over $1,000. *Stanford J. Bushyhead, Sr.,* 50, Riverton, Failure to appear. Citations for Minor In Possession were issued to *three males, ages 16, 18 and 19 *of Riverton who were found with drinks in front of them at Bombers Bar. A citation is pending against the bartender who served them as officers had to respond to a fight call that came in when they were at the bar. *Calls:* *There were 35 calls for service* A caller reported smoke coming from the Rivercity Bar at 2:50 a.m. It was smoke from a wood stove. There was no fire. At 3:50 a.m. police received a call from a man who said his daughter was having a verbal argument with himself and her sister and would not leave. She was taken home to her apartment on College Hill Drive. A caller from the Riverton High School campus reported a suspicious person wearing only shorts hanging around buildings there. Police were unable to locate a person with that description. *Fremont County Sheriff’s Office* *Arrests/Citations* *Tashina Birdshead,* 34, Casper, Probation Revocation *William Holmes*, 41, Casper, on two (2) Contempt of Court warrants *Kenneth Klinker,* 21, Riverton, Probation Violation *A 50-year-old male *of Jeffrey City who was identified as a third party during a landlord-tenant dispute was issued a citation for Simple Assault. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Split Rock Lane in Jeffrey City. *Calls:* *There were 50 calls for service* A sex offender in the Riverton area filed to register their residence. The FCSO is investigating. An unusual phone call was received by a Riverton area resident from someone who said he had the kid and asked what to do with him. A report was taken. A deputy delivered sex offender notifications in the Lucky Lane area on Tuesday. A resident in the 1500 block of East Monroe in Riverton reported his son’s vehicle had been keyed overnight. A man attempting to see his kids per a court order was blocked by his ex wife. A report of the incident on Birdy Road was taken. *Fremont County Emergency Medical Services* There were 16 calls for a county ambulance on Tuesday. *Fremont County Fire Departments* There were no fire calls on Tuesday *Fremont County Coroner* There was one coroner call on Tuesday, that for a 44-year-old male in Fort Washakie. Cause of death is pending a toxicology report. Coroner Mark Stratmoen also released a Verdict and Case Docket in the death of a 51-year-old Shoshoni resident who fell ill in Dubois and died at the SageWest hospital in Lander. Stratmoen said the death of Dana R. Williams was natural due to a heart attack (probable myocardial infarction). #county10 #news
