Dispatch: Arrests; Burglar caught; Home burglary reported in Kinnear; Delivery person sets off alarm

Here is the Christmas Eve recap of Wednesday's law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *Star Goggles*, 32, Fort Washakie, Felony Property Destruction, Burglary, Huffing a Toxic Substance. Goggles was arrested in connection with a break-in at Lander's Ace Hardware late Wednesday night and the theft of two cans of spray paint and plastic carry-out bags apparently used for huffing. He was found and arrested three hours after the incident. *Calls:* *There were 13 calls for service* A citizen complaint of someone trespassing on their property was recieved at 10:01 a.m. from the 8200 block of Highway 789. A report was taken and the caller was given options. A fender-bender in the parking lot at Ace Hardware was reported at 12:05 p.m. There were no injuries and no citations issued. A bicycle was found at Garfield and South 2nd streets. It was logged into to storage. A report of a stolen package from an address on Buena Vista Drive was unfounded. The package was located. A deer was struck and killed at Highway 789 and Shrine Club Road. No citations were issued. A resident called to report he hadn't seen his son in awhile and believed he was in his room in the garage. Police checked and found him a-okay. A call was received at 1:32 a.m. that their daughter-in-law was causing problems in an apartment on South 1st Street. An officer contacted the parties and they all agreed to go to bed and stop arguing. At 4:21 a.m. the LPD responded to where a vehicle slid off of the road in the 8400 block of Highway 789. LPD stood by until a sheriff's deputy could respond. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests/Citations* *A 20-year-old Riverton male* was arrested on a charge of Second Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor. No other information was released. *Gregory Florence*, 48, Riverton, Driving While Under the Influence, Driving While Under Suspension. *Calls:* *There were 37 calls for service* A caller at 9:28 a.m. from Lander reported a protection order violation after allegedly receiving a harassing telephone call. A resident on David's Way complained that a neighbor's kids were shooting in the neighborhood. A caller on Lost Wells Circle reported arriving home and discovering that someone had been in the residence. Nothing was reported missing. A report was taken. A burglary of a residence near Kinnear is under investigation. No other information was released. A caller at 1:28 a.m. Christmas Eve reported their adult son had been in a rollover on the Twin Creek or Hudson/Atlantic City Road. He apparently was not injured and the reporting party was driving around trying to find him. The wreck will be investigated this morning. A vehicle slid off the side of the road at 4:21 a.m. in the 8400 block of Highway 789. There were no injuries or damage, the vehicle, however, had become stuck in the snow. The Lander Police assisted on the call. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* There were no arrests or citations issued. *Calls:* *There were 30 calls for service. * Police responded to a report of an underage drinking party in the 300 block of South 2nd East at 47 minutes past midnight to find that the party had already broken up and people were gone. A 21-year-old male was at the scene, however, who was on probation, a condition of which was that he avoid drinking or parties where alcohol is served. A report was forwarded to his probation officer. A woman called police at 7:10 a.m. concerned about her mother whom she hadn't been able to reach since Monday. Police checked the residence and found that mom hadn't been feeling well and wasn't answering the phone. A call was received at 12:44 p.m. from the chaperone of a group of kids wrapping presents at Kmart. She expressed concern that a conversation a female had while talking with the kids "didn't seem right." The woman was gone when police arrived. Two people were moved along at the Walmart Garden Center for panhandling. A report was received at 7:38 p.m. that a couple had been drinking and huffing hair spray. The report was unfounded. A delivery person at 10:27 p.m. at Little Caesar's Pizza in the 1100 block of North Federal didn't have the correct entry code and an alarm went off. *Fremont County Emergency Medical Services* There were 14 calls for a county ambulance on Wednesday *Fremont County Fire Departments* There was a smoke investigation call on Wednesday on Mortimore Lane at Highway 789/287 where both Lander Rural and Lander City fire departments responded. *Fremont County Coroner* There was one coroner call early on Christmas Eve at 4:48 a.m. A 55-year-old female was found dead in her home in Dubois. Cause of death is pending a toxicology report. #county10 #news
