Elvina M. Warpness

Elvina M. Warpness, 90, of Riverton died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her home in Riverton. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Trinity Lutheran Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. [image: Inline image 1] Elvina Mae Hawkins was born November 22, 1925 in her grandmother’s home in Riverton to Charles Floyd and Edna Elvina (Erickson) Hawkins. She grew up in Riverton and graduated with the class of 1943. On May 24, 1950 she married Budvar Warpness in Jackson, Wyoming. Together the couple raised four children. They lived in Jackson, Wyoming, Palm Springs, California, and moved back to Riverton in 1955 Elvina enjoyed taking drives seeing the country-side. She enjoyed hunting camping and especially the mountains. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Riverton. She is survived by her son, Arne Warpness and wife Eileen of Arvada, Colorado; three daughters, Freda and husband Leonard Hegwood of Riverton, Karen and husband Duane Howard of Riverton, and Bonnie Olsen of Vancouver, Washington; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Edna; her husband Budvar in 1995; and grandson, Jake Hawley.
