(Fremont County, Wyo.) - If there's one thing people love about our little community... is the abundance of local support during times of crisis and hardship. Our town is lucky to have citizens and local businesses who rally to support the health of the community and its residents. Atlantic City Federal Credit Union
to do just that. Through their Cares Program and other generous
contributions they are building a presence in the community. Recently, The
Mountain West Credit Union Association recognized ACFCU as one of the top
two for their Community Impact Award; making Atlantic City Federal Credit
Union the first Wyoming credit union to ever be selected as a top finalist.
The City of Lander remembers the tragic fire at the Lander Community Center
in 2012. The first of the major contributors, was ACFCU. "Seeing everybody
back and using the Community Center again is fantastic, it makes us whole
again," says Lander City Councilman, Dick Hudson in the video below.

At the start of this year, ACFCU started the Cares Program to continue
their support. They selected 3 local programs: the Lander Back Pack
Program, Riverton Food for Break and the Chance Phelps Foundation. Charlie
Smith, ACFCU Board Chair, says, "Our Cares Program is our way of giving
back to our community, and back especially to people in need."
As part of the Cares Program, ACFCU held a 4 month long promotion. Each
time a member took out an Auto Loan, a donation was made to a non-profit of
the member's choice. Over 30 non-profit organizations were helped by this
initiative, with a total contribution of $20,000.00 made to various local
