Richard Burnett Sr. age 77, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper, WY due to a lengthy illness. He was born April 16, 1938, in Fort Washakie the son of the late Gordon Burnett and Elaine Jones Anderson. [image: Inline image 1] Traditional Indian Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Rocky Mountain Hall, Ft. Washakie. An Evening Service and Wake will be held Monday, January 4th at 7:00 PM at the family residence, #36 Bull Lake Road. Interment will be in the Sacajawea Cemetery. He attended schools in Crowheart and Coeur d'Alene, ID. He enjoyed tinkering and fixing things, carpentry, snowmobiling, going on trips, enjoyed basketball, ice fishing, hunting, camping, riding horses, rodeos and enjoyed going to the pow wow and Sundance. He participated in the One Shot Antelope Hunt, Red Rider Snowmobile Club, Fort Washakie Indian Relay Club and the Crowheart Pow Wow. He is survived by his wife; Flora, sisters; Sandra Burnett, Esther Burnett Brockbank and Millie Burnett, brother; Buddy Burnett, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Stephanie and Dwight Harris, Kameron, Kaiden andRiley Ann Harris, Cassandra, Marlissa, Quinten, Clinton and Patricia, Celene, Natayah, Tanayah, Shalayna, Kayton, Kree, Richard Jr., Kyle, Wayacee, Elaine, Nathanial, Sierra, Avery, Izaiah, Kenyon, Rosa, Duane, Keyshia, Finniccelies Jr & Sr., Tristian, Grey and Wyatt Burnett, Niki, Alex "Boo" and Scott Galloway, Kelli Galloway-Dorantes, Antionette, Jonathan and Victoria Jorgenson, Alberta, Denver, Denver Jr., Denuryana, Rhianna and Ciana John, Laila SunRhodes, Robert, Andre and A'Darius Friday. He was preceded in death by parents, son; Albert Burnett, aunt; Esther Burnett Horne, uncles, Finn Burnett and Gordon Jones, grandchildren; Jeremy Jorgenson and Ryan and Kennard Burnett. #county10 #obits
