Dispatch: Local fraud under investigation; fights and harassments dealt with

Here is Thursday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law: *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *A 64-year-old Englewood, Colo., woman* was cited for Peace Disturbance. The citation was issued after police were called to the 800 block of South Third for a woman being belligerent. *Christopher Addison*, 37, Ethete, two LPD Warrants, expired registration, no insurance and shoplifting. *Lucille Fox*, 37, Ethete, FCSO Warrant, possession of a controlled substance, paraphernalia, and shoplifting. The pair allegedly shoplifted $175 worth of items from Ace around noon. *Claire Soundingsides*, 32, Ethete, Driving Under the Influence and Open Container. *Calls:* At 8:29 a.m., a caller at a Lander business reported to police a possible fraud of thousands of dollars. The report is under investigation by LPD's lead investigator. A report of possible animal cruelty is under investigation. A report of on-going harassment is under investigation; it was reported late on Thursday evening. The suspect was not immediately located. *Riverton Police Department* RPD arrests and call details were not immediately available. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* None. The Fremont County Detention Center is currently responsible for 170 inmates. Of these, 148 are being held at the detention center, 13 are in substance abuse treatment programs, one is on home detention and eight are being housed out of the facility. *Calls:* The alleged violation of a protection order between subjects in the Kinnear area is under investigation. Additional information was not released. Deputies spent a lot of time on non-criminal calls on Thursday, including assisting in civil matters and VIN inspections. At about 1 p.m., a caller in the Riverton area said there were a couple trucks on his property that might be stolen. The report was determined to be unfounded. At 5:24 p.m., deputies were called to assist a Riverton Police Officer who reportedly heard three gunshots near Broadway. The call was handled by RPD, and additional information was not immediately available. Early Friday morning, deputies were called about a potential missing and endangered woman in the Riverton area. She was located OK. A fight in the jail was reported at 3:31 a.m. this morning. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 11 calls for service on Thursday. *Firefighters* Lander Volunteer firefighters handled a couple public service calls.
