Leadership Wyoming's 2016 Class visiting Fremont County

The 2016 class of the Leadership Wyoming program is in Fremont County this week delving into the topic of Entrepreneurship and the Environment. The group began its Lander/Riverton session on Thursday and will wrap up on Saturday. The group began their county visit on the Wind River Indian Reservation Thursday with presentations at the Wind River Hotel and Casino including a cedar ceremony. Mid-Afternoon the group traveled to Lander for a panel discussion on Wyoming's Sense of Place that featured the CEO of the Wyoming Business Council Shawn Reese, Local author and former local newspaper publisher Bill Sniffin and County's Ernie Over. A community reception followed with a reception and dinner at the National Outdoor Leadership School. Friday's agenda includes presentations on Scenic Wyoming by Dave Bell, a panel discussion on Fremont County's Tour 23 realities featuring RaJean Strube Fossen from the City of Lander, Kevin Kershisnik, of Pertech Industries and IDEA, Inc. of Riverton and Pitchengine's Jason Kintzler. The group will then break into two teams, with one team conducting community walkabout interviews in Lander and another the same in Riverton. The group will also tour the Eagle Bronze Foundry in Lander. More panel discussions are set to round out the day.
