Sugar truck ends up in the Wind River in the canyon; temporary highway closures expected

The Wyoming Highway Patrol has confirmed that last night at about 11:13 p.m. a sugar truck crashed on US Highway 20/Wyoming 789 and ended up in the Wind River. The cause of the crash has not yet been released, but 400-500 feet of guardrail was damaged. WHP's Sgt. David Wagener said the driver was uninjured. There was a diesel fuel leak from the truck's tank, but it was contained before it entered the water. The truck and trailer will be removed from the river today, but that will bring with it several closures off and on throughout the day. The Wyoming Department of Transportation says there will be lengthy delays throughout the day. Photos were not readily available. #county10 #springcity #news
