Here is today's law enforcement recap from around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Brett Lajeunesse,* 19, Fort Washakie, Converse County Warrant. *Andrew Davey*, 30, Lander, Public Intoxication and Interference. *Christopher Sherman*, 34, Lander, two LPD Warrants. *Calls:* At 12:55 p.m., police were notified by a local who had received a fraudulent phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS. The victim did not give away any personal information. At 1:28 p.m., police were called about a suspicious vehicle at Taco Johns. Turns out four juveniles were skipping school. Parents were notified. Damage to a vehicle was reported at about 1:50 p.m. on South Seventh Street. The damage occurred on the 17th and is under investigation. At 3:39 p.m., a caller in the area of North Fifth and Wood streets reported that there was a kid walking around with a rifle. Police were unable to find anyone in the area. More than $1,000 in damage was reported to a vehicle parked on North Sixth. The report is under investigation. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Merand Chambers*, 28, Riverton, Theft - Aggregate (RPD case) *Devaughn Hamilton*, 22, Arapahoe, Battery. *Heather Quinn*, 23, Riverton, Theft - Aggregate (RPD case) *Calls:* At 10:04 a.m., deputies and the Fremont County Coroner were called to the Rendezvous Ponds where someone had found a dead body. The person had possibly been shot, the caller reported. The sheriff's office said the situation is still under investigation, but no foul play is expected. Deputies assisted with a vehicle stuck in the snow on Union Pass. Three dogs were in the vehicle. Deputies assisted the Natrona County Sheriff, Lander Police and Riverton Police on a number of calls throughout the day. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *Bridgette Shangreaux*, 21, of Arapahoe, Shoplifting and Failure to Appear. Shangreaux was charged with stealing $25.78 in food from Walmart. She brought several walmart carryout bags into the store, filled them with food while hiding in the clothing department and tried to leave the store. *Edward SoundingSides*, 31, of Arapahoe, Contempt of Court *Colleen Brown*, 29, Riverton, Failure to Appear *Calls:* A 27-year-old man was NOT cited due to mental capacity after he allegedly tried to take a Star Wars lego set from Walmart. A chihuahua picked up and taken to PAWS was reunited with its owner after it was noticed that the dog had current city tags so the owner was identified. A fraud was reported. An adult man said he parents opened a utility service account in his name and then did not pay the bills, which are now in collection. A littering complaint was unfounded after the pastor of a church told police he had given permission for a man to use the church's dumpster. A pair of keys found on Sunset were taken to the police department for safe keeping. A woman reported that she had a big party at her house and the next day discovered that 10 of her 20 Oxycodone tablets were missing along with two multi-colored glass pipes. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 15 calls for service Wednesday into Thursday morning. *Fremont County Coroner* There were no coroner calls on Wednesday [image: Inline image 1] #county10 #news
