Dispatch: Lots of shoplifting over the weekend; Snowball attacks reported in Riverton

*Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *Darwin Shakespeare*, 26, Riverton, Shoplifting, a Probation Revocation and on a warrant for a previous assault. He was charged after allegedly taking a $22 value pint bottle of Everclear from Smith’s Food and Drug. *A 20-year-old female* of Riverton was cited for Shoplifting $34 in cosmetics. A 15-year-old accomplice was given a no trespass order. The incident was at Smith’s on West Main. *Kayla Birdshead* 29, Riverton, Driving While Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana-personal amount *A 31-year-old female* of Riverton was cited for shoplifting $62.39 worth of items from Walmart. *Dominick Fightingbear*, 39, of Arapahoe, Public Intoxication *Amy Sims*, 44, Shoshoni, for Shoplifting $620.33 worth of cosmetics from Walmart *Jenice Brown,* 25, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Medalia Sittingeagle*, 24, Riverton, on a Probation Revocation *Eldon Antelope*, 51, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Duane Shakespeare*, 31, of Arapahoe, Public Intoxication *Clowry Means*, 49, St. Stephens, Public Intoxication *Robert Coles*, 38, Riverton, Public Intoxication. Coles allegedly approached a woman cleaning out her vehicle and he threw something at her. The woman retreated into her vehicle, locked the doors and pulled out a handgun. Police arrived and took Coles into custody without any further trouble. *Calls* *There were 28 calls on Friday.* A hit and run was reported at 7:57 a.m. The owner of a green 2001 PT Cruiser came outside and discovered rear-end damage to his vehicle estimated over $1,000. Store officials at Smith’s reported several subjects took bags of groceries from the store without paying, jumped into a red van and sped away. Kids throwing snowballs at other kids at a bus stop was reported to be an ongoing problem in the 800 block of East Main. An investigation is underway on a city code enforcement action in the 100 block of Comanche Street for several abandoned vehicles, heavy appliances and such scattered about on the property. A caller phoned police to report that a camper they had reported stolen four months ago was finally located. Police, however, did not have a record of the theft. Two subjects in a white Buick allegedly egged a front window in the 600 block of North Federal and sped away. Two individuals having words with each other via Facebook and Instagram complained to police. An officer contacted each and suggested they knock it off. They did. *There were 26 calls for service on Saturday.* An intoxicated subject in a wheelchair at a bar in the 500 block of East Main was refusing to leave. Police arrived and the man was moved along. A woman who accidentally left her wallet with $425 in cash inside at the Burger King Restaurant reported the wallet was turned in by two women, but minus the money. Police are reviewing video surveillance. Police were called to collect and dispose of a deceased dog in the 2300 block of West Main Street. A complaint was registered that some kids were playing in the construction site along College Hill Drive. Police contacted their parents who came and got the kids. *There were 12 calls for service on Sunday.* The Emergency Room called to report that a man had been brought in who had been beaten up, but it was unknown where or when the assault occurred. Neighbors yelling at each other over a vehicle allegedly parked blocking the other’s driveway in the 500 block of East Jefferson resolved the issue before police arrived. Police located a 14-year-old female runaway some three hours after it was reported she had left home. A report of an apartment burglary is under investigation in the 800 block of Mary Anne Drive. *Fremont County Coroner* There were no coroner calls over the weekend. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Charles Toyfoa*, 41, Kinnear, DUI, No Valid Driver's License, Open Container, Failure to Maintain Lane and No Proof of Insurance. *Aloysius Piper*, 48, Ethete, two Lander Warrants. *Kelsey Gambler*, 24, Lander, Lander Warrant. *Rodney Littlemouth*, 39, Fort Washakie, Public Intoxication. *Kristopher Candelaria*, 36, Cheyenne, FCSO Warrant. *Calls:* A hit and run crash was reported on Riverview Drive at about 1 p.m. on Friday. The wreck reportedly occurred over night. At 4:41 p.m., police were called to SageWest Lander for a report of a threatening patient refusing to give his cell phone to the nurses. He eventually complied. At 4:48 p.m., a caller on Cascade Street reported that the neighbors' dog kept bring trash onto the caller's property. The report of 40-caliber pistol stolen out of a truck on Jefferson Street is under investigation. At 6:02 p.m., police were called to Safeway where two subjects attempted to shoplift more $1,000 in groceries. The pair were stopped by staff, ditched the carts and fled the scene. A fight among juveniles reported early Saturday morning is under investigation. One juvenile was cited for minor in possession. At 4:31 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of Main Street where three juvenile boys were throwing ice into the street. They were warned. Two women reportedly shoplifted items from a store on Grand View Drive. It is unknown what they took. A fight was reported at 3:40 a.m. on Sunday on Shoshone Ave. Everyone had been drinking, and some left before police arrived. All were warned. Two subjects shoplifted deli meals from Safeway on Sunday afternoon. Follow-up is continuing. A possible break-in was reported at a location on Washakie Street. Nothing of value was found missing. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Dawn Demott*, 50, Riverton, Probation Violation. *Nelson Duran*, 18, Riverton, Failure to Appear. *Kevin Lane*, 48, Riverton, Driving Under the Influence, Possession of a Controlled Substance and No Proof of Insurance. *Alysius Piper*, 48, Ethete, Pedestrian Under the Influence. *Calls:* At 9:03 a.m. on Friday, an anonymous caller on Deadman Gulch Road reported some horses that appeared "very skinny." Deputies checked on the horses and determined they were simply old. The animals were being cared for. Shoshoni Police on Friday handled a call about potential domestic abuse. At 2:51 p.m., deputies took a report about threats being made in connection to the sale of a vehicle. The buyer allegedly made a downpayment, trashed the car, and then wanted to return it. A subject hunting geese outside of Riverton was contact after neighbors complained that he was aiming toward a home. The possible theft of a key is under investigation. The Wyoming Highway Patrol handled a snowmobile wreck along Highway 26 outside of Dubois on Saturday morning. The snowmobiler had reportedly struck a guardrail along the highway. At 2:47 p.m., a caller in the Lander area reported that two rifles were stolen seven years ago. At 10:38 a.m. on Sunday, a caller on the 200 block of Burma Road reported finding a Chinese throwing star and half a pool cue in a pasture. On Sunday afternoon, deputies assisted Riverton Police in looking for a runaway. At 12:15 a.m. on Monday, a caller in the Shoshoni area reported hearing gunshots. Nothing out of the ordinary was found by deputies. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 37 calls for service over the weekend. *Fire Departments* Firefighters responded to five calls for service, which more mostly fire alarms or smoke investigations.
