DEQ to face the public on East Pavillion water contamination draft report

The Wyoming Department of Environment Quality's Draft review of prior investigations on the East Pavillion Contaminated Water Wells concluded the problem was not due to fracking . Area residents will have a chance to ask questions about the report this coming week. On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, DEQ and the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (OGCC) will host a meeting of the Pavillion Working Group in Riverton, WY. At this meeting DEQ and OGCC will provide updates regarding their reports into the investigation of pits, well bore integrity and domestic water wells. DEQ released its draft final report and palatability study of domestic water wells in the Pavillion area for public review and comment last month. Opportunity for Working Group members and the public to ask questions regarding these reports will be provided. The meeting will begin at 1:00 PM in the Intertribal Education and Conference Center at Central Wyoming College, Wind River Room (Room 116). The public is encouraged to attend and will be given an opportunity to comment. #county 10 #news
