Lander musher performs well in local leg of Stage Stop race

Jerry Bath, a musher out of Lander, came in fifth in Tuesday's leg of the EUKANUBA State Stop Sled Dog Race. The 42-mile stretch took place off South Pass starting at the Louis Lake parking area. Bath's total time was 4:07:34. First place was ahead by more than 14 minutes, and that was Alex Stegmann. Second and third for the day were JR Anderson and Buddy Streeper. Overall, Bath is in sixth place as the caravan heads to Pinedale for today's leg. Alex Stegmann, JR Anderson and Budder Streeper are first through third, respectively.
