Fracking: East Pavillion Public Comment Session reset to Feb. 17th

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Pavillion Working Group Meeting originally scheduled earlier this week that was postponed due to winter conditions has been reset for Wednesday, Feb. 17th. The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission (OGCC) will provide updates regarding their reports into the investigation of pits, well bore integrity and domestic water wells in the East Pavillion Natural Gas Field. The draft report indicated that the practice of fracking was not responsible for water well contamination in the area. DEQ released its draft final report for public review and comment last month. Opportunity for Working Group members and the public to ask questions regarding these reports will be provided. The meeting will begin at 1:00 PM in the Intertribal Education and Community Center, Wind River Room (Room 116) at Central Wyoming College, 2660 Peck Avenue. The public is encouraged to attend and will be given an opportunity to comment. #county10 #news
