*Saturday, Feb 6th * LANDER - This Saturday, February 6th from 10 – 11:30 am at the Lander Golf course, the Lander Valley High School Ski Team will offer their second and final free public clinic. These clinics are designed for beginners to intermediate skiers, for all ages, in both classic and skate technique. “This is a great opportunity for our high school athletes to give back to the community,” said Emily Tilton, coach of the team. “We welcome the public to come and try skiing for the first time, or if you are experienced, come to learn tips and techniques to ski faster and more efficiently.” Skis can be rented at Gannett Peak Sports and they are open on Friday until 6 pm. RIVERTON - Wild West Winter Carnival Quilt Guild Silent Auction and Riverton Rotary Crab Crack, St. Margarets Gym, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. RIVERTON - Wild West Winter Carnival Coronation, Awards Ceremny, Coloring Contest at Main Manhattan, beginning at 6:00 p.m. LANDER - City of Lander's 5th annual CHILI COOK-OFF on Saturday, Feb. 6, 5-7 pm, at the Lander Community & Convention Center, 950 Buena Vista Drive. Admission for all-you-can-eat chili and cornbread is $7 per adult, $5 children 12 & under. There will also be a no-host bar. Desserts will be sold by committee members of the Relay for Life for Fremont County. First place chili cook-off winner prize is $200, second place is $100, and there also be a people's choice winner.
