Wind River Boys rolled over Wyoming Indian by 40 points Thursday night

The Wind River Cougars outscored the Wyoming Indian Chiefs 49-6 in the paint and rolled to a 40 point, 95-55 win Thursday night in Pavillion. Wind River's Jayin Trumble topped all scorers with 30 points while teammate Caleb C'Bearing added 25. Buell Robinson was the only Chief in double figures, with 17. Wind River outscored Wyoming Indian in every period and took a 47-22 lead into the halftime break before a standing room only crowd in Pavillion. With the win, the Cougars stayed perfect in the Class 2A Southwest Conference with a 5-0 record, the Chiefs fell to 2-3. Overall, the Cougars are now 14-1 on the season, the Chiefs are 14-4, with two of the losses coming at the hands of the Cougars. Wind River's only loss came at the Big Horn Basin tournament in Lovell to the Chiefs. Wyoming Indian plays Friday evening in Greybull, Wind River resumes play Saturday afternoon at Shoshoni.
