Green River wins the Ron Thon; RHS and LVHS wrestlers finish runners-up

(Riverton, Wyo.) - Riverton and Lander each had a wrestler finish in second place at the Ron Thon Memorial-Invitational Wrestling Tournament in Riverton this weekend. The Tigers Mark McConnell was the runner-up at 120 pounds and Riverton's Kayden Wempen finished second at 182 pounds. The Wolverines' Keanan Pfisterer was third at 113 pounds and the Tigers' Palmer Schafer was 4th at 126 pounds. A total of 41 teams participated and over 500 wrestlers and coaches, including both Varsity and Junior Varsity teams, were on hand for the huge state tournament tune-up event. Green River was the team champion, Powell was the runner-up. Local individual results: 113 Pounds, 3rd, Keanan Pfisterer, Riverton (Dec.
