Here are this week's events around the Wind River Country: *Monday through Friday, Feb 8th-12th* PAVILLION - Wind River High School is hosting its 7th annual Service Week to raise money to offset medical costs for a local student who has had several brain surgeries in order to stop a debilitating seizure disorder. The goal is to raise $10,000. A silent auction will be held Feb. 12th during the home basketball games against Lyman at 5:30 and 7 p.m. Donations for the auction are greatly appreciated and should be taken to the high school office before Thursday. Other events during the week include a dodge-ball tournament Monday at 6:15 p.m., Roller Skating at the Pavillion Recreation Hall Tuesday at 6:15, a Date Auction during lunch on Wednesday and a Trivia Night Thursday night at 6:15. The week ends with the silent auction, bake sale and balloon raffle Friday night. *Monday, February 8th* LANDER - Lander Community Concerts Association, 7 p.m. LVHS Auditorium: VIDA Guitar Quartet. LCCA is excited to present world-renowned performers Mark Ashford and Helen Sanderson joining forces with innovative guitar duo Mark Eden and Christopher Stell to present “an orchestral palette of colours and effects” (Classic FM) in a diverse program of Classical to Gershwin to British Rock. *Tuesday, February 9th* LANDER -Help Us Lick Cancer at the Relay For Life Kickoff Celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 5:30 pm, at the Lander Valley High School. Join in the fun and sign up your team. The 2016 Relay for Life of Fremont County will be held July 9. *Wednesday, February 10th* LANDER - The February meeting of LEADER Corp. will be at 7:00 AM, Wednesday, February 10 in the backroom of the Oxbow Restaurant. This month’s meeting will feature Bob Porkorney, General Manager of Shoshone Rose Casino. Construction for the expanded Shoshone Rose is well underway. Bob will give us more information regarding the plans and how the larger facility will impact the economy of the area. This should be an interesting meeting as the enhanced Shoshone Rose will have a significant impact on Lander’s economy. *Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 10-11* RIVERTON - Fremont County Farm and Ranch Days at the Fairground's Fremont County. Both days start at 9 a.m. with the last sessions beginning at 3 p.m. Drones in agriculture and diseases in brew barley are among the 38 sessions offered. The schedule can be found here

LANDER - The Lander Chamber of Commerce will host the Lander Community
Awards Luncheon on Friday, February 12, noon-1 pm, at the Lander Community
and Convention Center, 950 Buena Vista Drive. Awards presented at the
luncheon will be: Anchor, Spirit of Lander, Beautification, Rookie of the
Year, and Lifetime Contribution.
RIVERTON & LANDER - The field representatives for Wyoming's Congressional
Delegation will be available at Riverton City Hall's Rendezvous Room to
meet the public from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The trio will then be at Lander
City Hall from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Comments and concerns expressed by the
public will then be relayed to the field representative's respective U.S.
Senators and Congressman.

Annual Snowmobilers Poker Run. Pubic is welcome. Call for details and to

LANDER - Jam Sessions at the Lander Bake Shop Saturdays 12-2. All acoustic

RIVERTON - The Riverton Museum will host a Wyoming Community Bank Discovery
Speakers Series program on February 13th at 3:00 pm by Walter Geis titled,
"Wyoming Brands: History, Use and Relevance". All ages are welcome and this
event is free to the public at 700 East Park.
LANDER - Art from the Heart, a fundraiser for the Lander Art Center, will
be held Saturday, Feb. 13, 7-9 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy
readings, music, video art, chocolate and wine. $10 suggested donation.
