Auto Arson under investigation; Three car fires in Riverton Thursday

(Riverton, Wyo.) - The Fremont County Sheriff is investigating a motor vehicle arson that occurred early this morning at an address in North Riverton. A 2004 Mazda was found fully engulfed in flames around 2:30 AM at an address on Cherry Street in the Fike Addition. According to Undersheriff Ryan Lee, the fire "does not appear to be a random act; it appears the victim was specifically targeted. Suspects have been identified and the investigation continues," he said. Two other motor vehicle fires were reported yesterday in the Riverton area both of which were determined accidental and not related to the arson incident early this morning. One of the other accidental vehicle fires was in the Walmart parking lot around 5:30 p.m. Jeannie Naef's car was parked next to the one that caught on fire. Officials helped her move her vehicle and when a safe distance away, she snapped the photos above, and the ones below. * Feature and other photos: Jeannie Naef / Pitchengine Communities* *[image: Inline image 1]* *[image: Inline image 2]* *[image: Inline image 3]* #county10 #news
