Dispatch: Arrests; Bear spray used on aggressive man; $3k in cash lost with wallet

Here is the weekend's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law: *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Ivan Prentup,* 37, Billings, Montana, Public Intoxication *A 41-year-old Riverton woman* was issued two (2) citations for having her dogs at large in the area of South 12th East and East Adams. It was not her first citation. *Amanda Matney,* 35, Riverton, Driving While Under the Influence, Open Container, Driving Under Suspension, Duty to Report (0.12% BAC). Matney sideswiped a white Kia at the Ashgrove School and drove away in a gray Honda. *Brian Goggles*, 39, St. Stephens, Public Intoxication and Resisting. *Clowry Means*, 49, St. Stephens, Public Intoxication *Dominic Fightingbear*, 39, of Arapahoe, Public Intoxication *Paul Bell*, 54, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Lawrencetta Addison*, 58, Ethete, on a Failure to Appear warrant *Emmaline Yellowfox,* 26, Riverton, on a Contempt of Court warrant *A 57-year-old male*, Riverton, was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance, marijuana. *Eldon Antelope,* 51, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Lionel Brown*, 48, Riverton, Public Intoxication Theodore Goggles *Wanda Addison*, 48, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Gary Blackburn*, 30, of Arapahoe on a Failure to Appear warrant *Steven Oldman*, 25, Ethete, on a Failure to Appear warrant *Ardie Longsoldier*, 46, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Dennis Littlewhiteman*, 49, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Thomas Brown,* 44, Ethete; *Brian SunRhodes,* 31, Ethete; *Alfreda Monroe*, 29, Riverton; and *Crystal Spoonhunter*, 41, of Arapahoe, all for Criminal Entry. The four were found sleeping inside a vehicle that was not theirs. *Calls:* *There were 38 calls for service on Friday.* A Romanian family was panhandling in front of Walmart. They were moved along. A sex offense reported at 4:51 p.m. in the 1400 block of Maple Street is under investigation. Police were called to the 700 block of West Fremont where someone was reportedly trying to kick in a door. It was a longstanding dispute between brothers. No action was taken. The back window of a Kia was found broken out in the 200 block of East Main. Damage was listed at $500. *There were 32 calls for service on Saturday.* At 12:49 p.m. a man called complaining that his former girlfriend had opened a credit card account in his name. The fraud accusation is under investigation. At 2:27 p.m. at Roomers Motel on North Federal, an intoxicated man was trying to kick in a door when he was approached by the owner. When he became more aggressive, the owner sprayed the man in the face with bear spray, according to a police report. The man fled down an alley and was later caught by police. At 4:36 p.m. at Walmart, a green Ford F150 struck and sprung the open door of a beige Toyota Corolla. The pickup then left the scene. Damage was over $1,000. Police received a complaint about a brown Pit bull that was chained to a fence on Sioux Avenue without food or water. The RPD Animal Control Officer will follow-up with the owner. A man called police and reported he had just received a phone call in which the caller said he was coming over to “whoop him.” It turned out to be a practical joke. Police were called at 10:22 p.m. on the report of four children sitting in a running vehicle watching a movie outside of the Gem Theatre. The parents were contacted and advised not to leave their children unattended in a running vehicle. *There were 28 calls for service on Sunday.* Riverton Police provided assistance to the BIA Wind River Police who were handling a two-vehicle crash at Highway 789 and Rendezvous Road at 9:02 a.m. Police made contact with the alleged aggressor in a road rage incident reported at 10 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Main. The man admitted that he had cut off another motorist and then the two began flipping each other off. The aggressor apologized. No citations were issued. A woman in the 1200 block of East Main complained that someone had thrown fruit all over the side of her house and that it was sticking there. A man in the 500 block of South Smith Road turned over eight puppies that he told police he could not take care of. The puppies were taken to the PAWS for Life shelter. Police assisted Sheriff’s Deputies with a one-vehicle rollover on in the 1600 block of Smith Road at 7:53 p.m. The report of a fight at 8:22 in the 100 block of North 10th East was between a mother and daughter who were separated. Just under an hour later, the two had gotten back together and were fighting again. Again the pair were separated. *There were 25 calls for service on Monday.* A private nurse came to visit a client but could not gain entry to the home. Police assisted and once inside it was discovered a 67-year-old woman had apparently taken an overdose of sleeping pills. She was taken to the Emergency Room. A woman called police to report that she had allegedly left her wallet that reportedly contained $3,000 in cash at Walmart, five days ago. The wallet allegedly contained only the cash, no ID or credit cards or other information. Video surveillance tape was inconclusive. An officer was called at 2:50 p.m. to the 1500 block of Redwood Driver where a landlord and a tenant were arguing over a parking space. The issue was resolved. *Fremont County Coroner* There were two coroner calls on Monday, for a 71-year-old man of Riverton who died of natural causes and for a 95-year-old woman of Riverton who also passed away of natural causes. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Lynn Brown*, 42, Ethete, Failure to Appear. *Jose Cantu*, 26, Riverton, Court Ordered Arrest. *Joel Smith*, 18, Riverton, Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic. *Brett White*, 31, Fort Washakie, Driving Under the Influence, No Interlock Device, Driving Under Suspension, and Tail Lamp Violation. At 9:09 p.m. on Monday, deputies were contacted about a subject who stole a bottle of booze from the Loaf N Jug in Lander. The suspect vehicle was stopped and the driver arrested for DUI. *Calls:* Most of the calls on Friday were minor issues and VIN inspections. At 4:51 p.m. on Friday, the Department of Family Services alerted investigators to a possible sex offense. The report is under investigation. At 10:26 a.m. on Saturday, a caller in the Gardens North Subdivision reported someone was teasing the neighbors' dogs. At 6 p.m. a caller on Sioux Avenue reported there was a leashed pit bull tied to a fence that had no food, water or shelter. A fraudulent call from someone claiming to be with Dish Network was reported in the Lander area on Sunday morning. Twenty-five bales of hay were reportedly stolen from a property on Sand Butte Road. The report came in at 1:25 p.m. on Sunday. Deputies checked on a property on Hutchinson Road after the home owner had received a call from a neighbor who said someone was driving around and spotlighting on his property. On Monday morning, a caller on Elder Lane reported that someone shot his house with a BB or pellet gun. At 11:16 a.m., a man on Wilson Road reported finding two dead cats on his property. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Theodore Goggles*, 74, Riverton, two LPD Warrants. *Ivan Bear*, 46, St. Stephen's, Public Intoxication and Open Container. Bear was arrested he was reportedly drinking and driving an electric scooter around a local grocery store. *Travis Balderston*, 38, Lander, Domestic Battery. He was arrested after a 10:19 p.m., Friday call of a vehicle trying to run someone over on South Ninth Street. *Ivan Prentup*, 37, Billings, Mont., Public Intoxication and Shoplifting. *A 19-year-old Lander man* was cited for peace disturbance after a trash issue was reported in the 400 block of Main Street in the alley. *Arleen Englert*, 49, Lander, DUI, Open Container and Reckless Endangering. *Jason Brown*, 22, Fort Washakie, LPD Warrant, Childe Endangerment, Expired Registration, No Valid Driver's License, No Proof of Insurance, and Child Restraint violation. *Preston Lee*, 19, Ethete, five LPD Warrants. *A 33-year-old woman* from Fort Washakie was cited for Shoplifting and an LPD Warrant. *Crystal Spoonhunter*, 41, of Arapahoe, Warrant. *Calls:* A resident on South Ninth Street was given a warning for having a vicious dog following a call to police at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. At 12:46 p.m., a caller off Baldwin Creek Road reported that someone had keyed their car. A caller at the gas station at Safeway reported that there were people begging for money there. The subjects moved on. At 10:07 a.m. on Sunday, a caller on Shoshone Avenue reported a vehicle having been stolen from them. Wind River Police later recovered the vehicle crash through a fence and in a ditch. It was unoccupied. A subject wearing a brown hoodie escaped Mr. D's with a bottle of liquor. At 8:46 a.m. on Monday, a caller reported a chicken walking on Main Street. The owner eventually caught it. At noon a caller on North Sixth Street reported that there was a dog left alone in a van. Police found the dog to be fine. At 11:15 p.m., a caller on Cascade Street reported that he had been shot. That was determined to be unfounded, but he was suffering from other medical issues. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 53 calls for service countywide from Friday into Tuesday morning. *Fire Departments* Firefighters were called out eight times Friday through Monday.
