Dispatch: Child 'cussed at;' two DUIs; Multiple arguments reported

Here is Thursday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Alma Addison*, 28, of Arapahoe, on a Contempt of Court warrant *Ivan Prentup*, 37, Billings, Mont., Shoplifting a $3 can of beer. *Ashlee Plummer*, 22, Riverton, Driving While Under the Influence (0.15% BAC) on a traffic stop. She was pulled over for no headlights. *Calls:* *There were 44 calls for service.* Police and Fire units were summoned to the Brunton Company where a compressor belt was smoking and set off an alarm. There was no fire. A hit and run reported in the 100 block of North Roadway at 7:49 a.m. is under investigation. A piece of duct tape on an alarm sensor came loose in the 800 block of North Federal resulting in a police response. All was A-okay. At 8:39 a.m. an intoxicated couple got into a fight over who would take their child to school. Police arrived on the report of a fight and found a sober relative to transport the child. The call was in 700 block of Eagle Drive. Three people were reported to be intoxicated in the 1100 block of North Federal. They were eating a pizza. No action was taken. A report of shoplifters at Walmart turned out to be unfounded. A reported family fight at 1:50 p.m. in the 900 block of East Roosevelt was between a father and his adult son. No charges were filed. A man found unresponsive in the 100 block of South 1st street was taken to the emergency room. The call came in at 1:50 p.m. Another man found unresponsive, this time in the east alley behind the 600 block of North Federal, was discovered to have a 0.65% blood alcohol level. That reading is the highest BAC so far this year in Riverton. The man was transported to the emergency room. A caller at 10:48 p.m. phoned in from a vehicle in the 400 block of East Main to report a man had a woman pinned against a wall. According to a police report, the caller said the two “were either kissing or fighting.” The couple were gone on an officer's arrival in the area. *Fremont County Coroner* There were no coroner calls on Wednesday. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Richard Mountain*, 50, Dubois, Aggravated Assault and Battery. Read more about this arrest here. *Joseph Babcock*, 26, Riverton CAST Violation. *Pricilla Lopez*, 26, Riverton, Breach of Peace and Possession of a Controlled Substance. At 6:52 p.m. on Wednesday, Lopez called deputies to a home on Snowberry Lane. When deputies arrived, she was allegedly found running up and down the street, yelling. Deputies had reason to believe she was under the influence of a substance, and suspected marijuana was reportedly found in her purse. Deputies were unable to substantiate a break-in. *Calls:* At 9:53 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies were called about dogs attacking cars in the area of Carbine Lane outside of Lander. At 11:42 a.m., someone at Hudson Town Hall reported that the town was getting complaints about a sex offender living in the area. Deputies confirmed that the registered offender was compliant with all laws. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Richard Nitz*, 43, Lander, FCSO Warrant. Nitz was arrested on Wednesday morning after police were called to a Northside Drive residence by someone who received a fraudulent check. *A 16-year-old Lander boy* was cited for Minor in Possession. *Ryan Thain*, 35, Bowen, N.D., three FCSO Warrants, Expired Registration, No Proof of Insurance, and Driving Under Suspension. *Lynn Brown*, 42, Ethete, DUI, Driving Under Suspension, Expired Registration and No Proof of Insurance. *Calls:* At 12:55 p.m., police were called to assist a man in the area of Cascade and South Second who was looking for a bus ticket to get out of town. At 2:19 p.m., police were called about a couple vehicles parked on the 100 block of North Sixth that had expired plates. Police determined the report to be unfounded. All vehicles had current registration and were legally parked. At 3:10 p.m., a caller on Dabich reported that a young girl was "cussed at" by an unknown subject while she was walking home from school. On Wednesday evening, a woman reported that someone was punching her and trying to steal her kids. Police arrived, found no physical violence and discovered an on-going custody battle. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 18 calls for service on Wednesday into Thursday morning. *Fire Departments* Firefighters handled three alarms, two in the Lander area and one in Riverton.
