Wind Watch upgraded to High Wind Warning

The National Weather Service in Riverton has upgraded the High Wind Watch to a High Wind Warning this morning. Very strong wind is expected over much of central and southwest Wyoming through tonight and into Friday morning across parts of the North. *Casper and Fremont County, and Hot Spring County's* high wind warning remains in effect until 11:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. *Cody/Powell's* warning will last until 10:00 a.m. Friday morning. *Timing: *South winds will increase quickly and will become high winds by mid to late morning. Winds will shift to the West late this afternoon. *Winds:* South 30 to 40 MPH with gusts to 60 MPH shifting to the West late this afternoon. *Impacts: *Travelers should be prepared for very strong winds.
