The Center will add more than 2,000 square feet to the current hospital building and include the addition of a new MRI system, a $3.1 million investment in total, according to a news release from the hospital. The new MRI, an Optima MR450w 1.5T from GE Healthcare, provides increased imaging capability to assist physicians, provide added comfort and space for patients and reduce exam time. Furthermore, the quiet technology will help reduce acoustic noise. [image: Inline image 1] *The construction site.
