Dispatch: DUI suspect allegedly spits on officer; Fraudulent checks investigated

Here is Tuesday's report of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Charles Ariks*, 30, Riverton, two Contempts of Court. *Sarah Cousins-Brow*, 60, Sheridan, Contempt of Court. *Kenneth Klinker*, 22, Riverton, Probation Violation. *Gregg Oler*, 52, Casper, Failure to Appear. *Bryant Tillman*, 27, Ethete, Failure to Appear. *Calls:* Warrants are pending for a couple individuals who have not been complying with regular court ordered drug testing. At 10:16 a.m., a parent discovered a possible controlled substance and turned it in to a court security deputy in Lander. At about 4 p.m., deputies were asked to help remove a woman from a home on Snowberry Lane who wasn't welcome. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Lionel Brown*, 48, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Cody Blackburn*, 37, Riverton, Driving While Under the Influence, No Insurance, Property Destruction and Assault. Blackburn allegedly drove his silver 2013 Dodge Caravan into and under the rear end of a stopped 2016 Freightliner with an enclosed trailer unit at Sunset and North Federal at 6:46 p.m. Blackburn reportedly left the scene, but witnesses told police that he went to the Walgreens Store next to the street. When contacted and taking him into custody, Blackburn allegedly spat into the face of an RPD officer. On the way to the hospital for a blood draw, Blackburn allegedly started tearing up the inside of the ambulance and he had to be physically restrained on a gurney with tie down straps. Damage to the ambulance had not been reported as of Wednesday morning. *Calls:* There were 22 calls for service. A report of a barrow ditch fire turned out to be a WYDOT crew burning a ditch. A dispute over a parking lot was reported to police in the 600 block of West Adams. A check of property records will resolve the dispute. Two businesses claimed that they each owned the lot. A report is pending on a property destruction and assault incident reported at 4:59 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Federal. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *A local man* was cited for Failure to Maintain Lane after having struck a mailbox on Tuesday morning on Hillcrest. *A couple female high school students* were cited for either using marijuana off campus or being in possession of tobacco. *Buck Laramore*, 26, was arrested for Theft following a call to Mr. D's on Tuesday afternoon. *Ivan Prentup*, 38, Billings, Mont., Public Intoxication, Peace Disturbance and Resisting Arrest. He was arrested after police were called to Safeway at 5:30 p.m. for a disorderly individual. *Calls:* A local reported receiving a couple fraudulent checks from a subject who purchased items from the caller from a Facebook ad. Police have determined that the checks were fraudulent, and investigation is continuing. A dog owner is expected to be cited after their dog escaped its yard on Washington Street and chased a child. A shoplifting at a an East Main Street business on Tuesday evening is under investigation after a woman was seen stuffing items into her purse. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 17 calls for service Tuesday into Wednesday morning. *Fire Departments* Firefighters responded to six calls for service on Tuesday.
