Dispatch: Arrests; Man allegedly held gun to woman's head; Bar fight results in property damage and bloody floor; Three deaths reported

Here is Friday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* None. *Calls:* At about 8 a.m., a caller on the 300 block of North Fourth was contacted about leaving trash where it didn't belong. A sex offense involving juveniles is under investigation. A couple wrecks were reported through out the day. No injuries or citations for any of them. Police at 8:50 p.m. took a report from a subject on Tweed Lane who reported that people threatening to come over and beat him up. No one arrived. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Dawson Smith*, 31, Riverton, Driving Under the Influence, Driving Under Suspension, and Speeding. Smith was stopped on Highway 26 on Thursday afternoon for going 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. *Calls:* Deputies were notified about a suspicious vacuum cleaner salesman on Burma Road on Thursday morning. A possible fraud call from someone claiming to be from the Department of the U.S. Treasurer was reported on Thursday evening. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *Brian SunRhodes*, 31, Ethete, on two Failure to Appear warrants and Public Intoxication. *A 26-year-old female* of Arapahoe for shoplifting $16 in Deli Food from Walmart *Paul Bell*, 54, Riverton, Public Intoxication Police were called for a man passed out in the restroom at the Holiday Inn. He was assisted back to his room. An altercation between a 26-year-old Riverton man and a 26-year-old Ethete man ended in a draw. No one wanted to press charges. The fight was reported in the 500 block of East Main. A woman who allegedly tried to attack her boyfriend with a knife during an argument was restrained by others at the apartment, according to a Riverton police report. The woman then left. No one was injured. There was a false fire alarm at the AD Martin saw shop. There was no fire. A woman was found deceased sitting in a green Ford Ranger in the 100 block of East Pershing. The coroner was called. A two vehicle crash was reported between a white 1999 Pontiac and a green 2000 Dodge Caravan. Damage was over $1,000. The wreck was reported in the 800 block of North Federal in the alley. Police were unable to report two individuals reportedly having six on the Rails to Trails Pathway near North Broadway. Riverton police received a call from a man in Montana who said he was the employer of some people remerchandising the Safeway Store in Riverton, and that one of his employees was holding a gun to his girlfriend's head at the Hampton Inn. Police set up a perimeter, had the dispatch center call the man's room and had him come out of the building's west entrance. He did. After interviews with both parties, the report was determined to be unfounded. Police did find a firearm in the room, but there was no evidence it was held against the woman's head. No action was taken. A theft from a vehicle was reported in the Walmart Parking when $150 in cash and a $20 zip drive was taken from a blue 2014 Toyota. It was not noted if the vehicle was left unlocked, but there was no sign of forced entry. A 46-year-old male, a 44-year-old male, and two 21-year-old males, all from Riverton, were involved in a fight in the 300 block of East Main. One of the men threw a solid wood pool ball through a wall, broke a chair and broke a table inside the establishment. Police contacted the individuals, none of whom wanted to file charges. The man who allegedly broke the wall, table and chair allegedly promised to make restitution or he would be charged with property destruction. *Fremont County Coroner* Chief Deputy Coroner Erin Ivie reported three deaths. A 49-year-old Riverton woman was found deceased in the city on Thursday, her body will be autopsied today in Colorado. There is nothing suspicious about the death. A 78-year-old man died of natural causes in Arapahoe on the 24th. A 70-year-old resident of the Wyoming Life Resources Center died of natural causes. [image: Inline image 2] #county10 #news
