Batten down the hatches, high winds coming...

(Riverton, Wyo.) - A wind warning has been posted for the Beaver Rim and Southeast Fremont County into Natrona County for this evening. Winds, according to the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Riverton, will range from 30 to 40 mph with isolated gusts over 60 mph expected. Winds will be strongest acoross portions of the win corridor in Central Wyoming and in the Cody Foothills. According to the NWS: TRAVELERS ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND EASTERN FREMONT COUNTY IN ADDITION TO MOST OF NATRONA COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR POSSIBLE STRONG WINDS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THOSE ATTEMPTING TO PULL TRAILERS OR IN HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL BE ESPECIALLY AT RISK ALONG PORTIONS OF I25 NEAR CASPER AND ALONG OUTER DRIVE IN SOUTH CASPER...AS WELL AS ALONG HIGHWAY 789 BETWEEN MUDDY GAP AND BEAVER RIM. #county10 #news
