Become a student at Wind River Job Corps and live off campus

*(Fremont County, Wyo.) *- To be a student at Wind River Job Corps, you don't have to live on campus. You can enjoy the freedom of living at your own residence while earning a high school equivalency or high school diploma, finding and keeping a good job and bettering yourself. The Wind River Job Corps is currently accepting applications for non-residential students. These applicants have the opportunity to attend classes and receive training on campus during the weekday, while still living at their own residence. Additionally, non-residential students are eligible to receive all of the benefits that are offered through the Job Corps Program, on top of a weekly allowance to help with the cost of traveling to and from center. Living off campus has its perks and depending on each students situation, it may be the right decision. "I already had a home I needed to maintain and bills to pay," explained Charles McCoy, a non-residential Job Corps student. For interested students, ages 16-24, Job Corps is hosting information sessions at the Wind River Facility. Sessions are held every Wednesday at 11am. Orion Morris, Admission Counselor, will provide general information and answer questions about eligibility and enrollment. Potential applicants may tour the facility and the application process may begin immediately. Reserve your spot in advance for the information session by calling Orion at 307-253-7503. If you are in the Lander area, call Gloria Poston at 307-438-3140. Wind River Job Corps , 4200 Airport Rd, Riverton, WY 82501 #sponsored #news #county10 #wrjobcorps
