Dispatch: Animal problems reported countywide; 3 vehicle crash reported

Here is Tuesday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *A 28-year-old male* from Ethete, Shoplifting. The man is alleged to have taken a $9.59 bottle of Black Velvet from Woodward’s Liquor. *A 55-year-old female* from Shoshoni, Shoplifting. The woman is alleged to have attempted to take $31.44 in clothes from Walmart. *Lawrencetta Addison*, 58, of Ethete, Disturbing the Peace. *A 16-year-old female* from St. Stephens, Property Destruction and Minor Under the Influence (0.12% BAC). The juvenile is alleged to have thrown a rock through a window on Blackfoot Avenue. She was released into the custody of her mother. *Calls:* *There were 26 calls for service.* A vehicle reported as suspicious at 8:36 a.m. in the 200 block of South Broadway had broken down with mechanical problems. Police officers stood by while a quantity of black powder was removed from the basement of a home just purchased by the USDA in the 800 block of Rose Marie Drive. Tires on a 2015 Volkswagon were slashed in the 700 block of North Federal. The damage was estimated at $300. A man on Broadacres Drive called police to complain that a neighbor allegedly lets his dogs walk off of the leash and they use his yard for relieving themselves. He asked to speak to the animal control officer about the problem. A property damage three-vehicle crash was reported in the 200 block of North Federal at 4 p.m. According to a police report, a brown 2012 Ford F250 ran into a tan 2013 Nissan which then ran into an orange 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Damage was over $1,000. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* None. Fremont County Detention Center is currently responsible for 158 inmates. Of these, 132 are being held in the detention center, 20 are in substance abuse treatment programs, and six are being housed out of the facility. *Calls:* At 7:45 a.m., a caller in the St. Stephen's area reported a strange subject going door-to-door wanting to trade items for gas money. At 12:19 p.m., a caller on Highway 287 reported seeing a child in a vehicle that was not properly restrained. At 3:48 p.m., a caller on Picket Road in Pavillion reported that there were dogs who chased a mule so hard that it died. Deputies were unable to substantiate that dogs had anything to do with the mule's death; there were no witnesses who saw the dogs chasing the mule. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* None. *Calls:* At 10:51 a.m., a caller at an apartment on South First Street about their upstairs neighbor banging on the floor all night. The noise was caused by a small child running around. LPD responded to only three other calls.
