"We did not see Trump mania..."

(Lander, Wyo.) - The Fremont County Republican Party Caucuses held Monday night were well attended, at least in Lander and Riverton. "The turnout from Milford was phenomenal," said John Brown of Lander on Tuesday morning. "At Beebe we had more than twice as many as two years ago, and more than usual for a Presidential election year." Results of the caucuses won't be known until March 12th, when the county convention is held in Riverton and the county's lone delegate to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland is pledged to support a candidate. "The Fremont County voice will be heard then,"he said. "There was no straw poll or vote taken at the caucuses. The precinct committeemen and committeewomen, however, did get an idea of where the participants were leading. That will be taken into account at our county convention," Brown said. Speaking about his own precinct, Beebe, Brown did say "we did not see Trump mania in our precinct." The turnout at the Inn at Lander was greater than expected, he said. "There were a great number of people there, except no one came from Jeffrey City, we only had one person from Atlantic City, no one from Ethete and a few from Fort Washakie, that was good to see." Fremont County Democrats will have their caucus on Saturday, April 9th at Lander Valley High School. #county10 #news
