*This weekend:* *Thursday through Saturday* LANDER - The Wyoming State Winter Fair Trade Show is Thursday-Saturday, March 3, 4, 5, 2016 at the Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse at Lander Valley High School. *Friday, March 4* LANDER - A Mini Art Walk. Both the Lander Art Center and Lander Bake Shop are hosting art work by Local Artists. LBS will host the creative works by Veronica Velarde and Annika Poitras. Their work will be up for the month of March. LANDER - Join us this Friday, March 4th from 6:00-8:00pm for the opening of the Student Select Art Show, featuring the work of Lander Valley High School and Lander Middle School students at the Lander Art Center, 224 Main Street. LANDER - Old school country and western music artist, Steve Frame and his Western Rebels, will be playing this Friday, March 4th at the Maverick Lounge in Lander at the Frontier Lodge Motel. You won't want to miss this -- they keep the dance floor moving all night long. LANDER - Fremont Symphony Orchestra is sponsoring a Concert with Chris Proctor on March 4, Friday, 7 pm at the Fremont County Library Carnegie Room. The concert is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10/person. *Saturday, March 5* DUBOIS - The Dubois Museum will host a McDonald's Children's Exploration Series program that will feature Laurie Ideker, art instructor, who will lead everyone in a fun filled wildlife art day. If the weather is cooperative a field trip will be part of the program of please dress accordingly. Bring a lunch and plenty of water. Meet at the Dubois Museum at 10am. Anyone interested in the redevelopment of downtown Shoshoni is welcome to learn about this program. *Wednesday, March 9th* RIVERTON - The Riverton Branch Library and R Recreation’s Film Society is dedicated to the sole purpose of showing and experiencing film and cinema from all genres and decades for adults. We seek to foster a community of avid film lovers. This will run through May of 2016, the second Wednesday of every month. The films will be shown in the library Community Room at 8:00 p.m. and a discussion will follow. The third film will be shown on Wednesday, March 9th. All films are Best Picture winners. The public is invited to attend and observe the meeting. *Wednesday, March 23 * LANDER - The Northern Arapaho Suicide Prevention Program will be hosting a safeTALK training on March 23rd at the Lander Library from 1 to 5 p.m. safeTALK is a half-day alertness training that prepares anyone over the age of 15, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. safeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources, such as caregivers trained in ASIST. *Now through March 28* CODY - The Shoshone National Forest Resource Advisory Committee (RAC) is seeking project proposals and will be accepting applications now through March 28, 2016. Approximately $180,000 will be available to invest on projects that would benefit the resources of the Shoshone National Forest.
