Dispatch: Arrests; Shoplifter caught; School bus fly-by reported; Facebook harassment noted

Here is Tuesday's recap of law enforcement activity around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests:* *John Chavez*, 33, Riverton, Shoplifting and Public Intoxication. Chavez allegedly tried to leave Walmart with a full cart of groceries valued at $90. *A 32-year-old Riverton man* is being trespassed from his former wife’s place of employment after harassing her there. *Hayes Goggles*, 49, Ethete, on a Contempt of Court warrant. *Calls* *There were 22 calls for service* The RPD was asked to assist the BIA Wind River Police and the BIA Fish and Game in locating two individuals. The two Reservation agencies were successful in finding the men on the Reservation. No other information was available. A school bus drive-by is under investigation. According to a police report, a white Chevy compact zipped past a school bus with its lights flashing and stop sign extended at Webbwood Road and North Federal at 10:14 a.m. Video Surveillance is being reviewed. Police were notified of an internal investigation at Rocky Mountain Liquors in which an employee is suspected of fraud against the business. Detectives were called into the case. Police were called to the 100 block of East Park where a woman was complaining of a “dead” smell coming from her trash can. The Fire Department also responded. It was trash. Nothing dead was found inside the container. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* None - The Fremont County Detention Center currently has 151 inmates it is responsible for. Of these, 127 are being held in the Fremont County Detention Center, 18 are in substance abuse treatment programs throughout the state and out of the facility, none are on home detention out of the facility, and 6 inmates are being housed out of the facility. *Calls: * *There were 53 calls for service* A resident in the 400 block of Paradise Valley Road called to report his neighbor was burning and the fire melted his irrigation pipes. The matter was determined to be civil and not criminal. A verbal argument was reported between a man and a woman on Antler Court near Lander. Deputies and the Department of Family Services are conducting an on-going child welfare investigation. The location was redacted from the report. A caller complained that their child was being harassed via Facebook. A report was taken. At 5:42 a.m. this morning, a caller reported finding a vehicle in a ditch at the north end of North 8th West. The lights were still on but there was no one around. Deputies later located the driver at his home. A report indicated he was fine, but the investigation continues this morning. *Lander Police Department* LPD's information was not reported Tuesday morning. It will be added when it becomes available. *Fremont County Fire Departments* There were seven controlled burns reported in the county on Monday, one call for a car wreck on Highway 789, milepost 100, and one investigation of a trash container emitting a "dead" smell.
