Rumors Rebuffed: "We're not going anywhere"

*Feature Photo: St. Stephens Indian High School (Pitchengine Communities) * (St. Stephens, Wyo.) - St. Stephens Indian School Superintendent Frank Norunner today squashed what he termed was an "annual" rumor that the school would close at the end of this spring term. "We are perfectly fine," he said when asked to confirm or deny rumors that were circulating at the state basketball tournament this past weekend in Casper. "I'm new here, but I've been told that's a rumor that springs up every year." The one exception: "If Donald Trump doesn't withdraw funding for all of the BIA Indian Schools across the nation if he's elected, we'll still be here," he laughed. Norunner also had high praise for his school's basketball programs and the way his students and the St. Stephens fans conducted themselves in Casper. "Our administrators put together the welcome home ceremony for our Lady Eagles State Championship Team and the community turnout was great." "We can hardly wait for next year's basketball season," he said. #county10 #news
