Here is Thursday's recap of law enforcement activity from around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations* *A male juvenile of Lander*, age not noted, was cited for Shoplifting some $25 in goods from Safeway *Calls:* *There were 18 calls for service* The Department of Family Services contacted the LPD after receiving a video of a threat against a client. A hit and run vehicle crash was reported at 11:21 a.m. in the 700 block of Main Street. Damage was over $1,000 to the victim's vehicle. There is no suspect. A wallet containing $35 was taken from an unlocked vehicle at the Maverick Trailer Park on North 2nd Street. A woman at a Main Street apartment had a baby and ems was called at 1:10 p.m. The LPD stood by while the ambulance crew handled the birth. Mom and baby were reported to be okay. A woman reported she had left a cell phone on a waiting room table at the hospital and when she returned it was gone. Phone service on the device has been canceled. A caller on Canyon Street said their son's Wrestling Fundraising Money in a money bag was taken sometime in the past 24 hours. The bag contained $220. The house had been left unlocked. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests/citations:* *David Hernandez*, 56, Riverton, on a Court Ordered Arrest for a Probation Violation *Lynx Osterkom*, 56, Riverton, Breach of Peace, Resisting Arrest. Deputies received a report of someone running around nude in the 1500 block of East Monroe Avenue in the Cozy Court Mobile Home Park. Allegation were that the woman was wandering around naked in her yard, breaking windows out of her residence and throwing items out into the yard. Deputies contacted the woman, Osterkom, who allegedly became very abrasive and threatening. Due to the totality of the circumstances, the FCSO report said the woman was taken into custody and was charged with Breach of the Peace and Resisting. *A 14-year-old boy* was taken into custody pursuant to a court order after an emergency hearing held Wednesday. The youth had been at the Fremont County Boys Group Home. *Calls:* *There were 56 calls for service* A theft from a Riverton area residence was reported. The item(s) stolen was redacted from the report. A burglary was reported in the 1600 block of Major Avenue. The complaint was that someone had gone through their shed. No other information was released. The case of an animal that was injured in Shoshoni was redacted from the FCSO report. It was noted the incident was handled by the Shoshoni Police. A resident on Cloverleaf drive complained that they were receiving threats from a boyfriend's step-dad. A report was taken. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *Kevin R. Wilson*, 35, Shoshoni, on a FCSO warrant *Melanie J. Gambler*, 45, Ethete, on two FCSO warrants *Calls:* *There were 27 calls for service* Police gave a motorist a ride to the service department after her vehicle broke down in the 1000 block of Major Avenue and she was unable to get into the tow truck due to its height. An individual of unknown gender wearing a jacket, dark pants and carrying a skateboard stole shoes from Walmart valued at $19.62. Police are reviewing surveillance video to identify the suspect. Some playground equipment on Garnet Drive was written on with a marker pen. An intoxicated male who fell and hit his head was taken to the emergency room for treatment. *Fremont County Fire Departments* There were 10 controlled burns reported in the county on Wednesday and two fire calls. One for the fatal vehicle-pedestrian wreck last night near Lander and a fire alarm. *Fremont County Emergency Medical Services* County ambulances were called out 22 times on Wednesday. *Fremont County Coroner* A 69-year-old woman's death on January 6th, 2016, was caused by Acute Pyelonephritis, according to a Verdict and Case Docket released by the coroner's office. The verdict was reached in the death of Phyllis Homan. "Acute pyelonephritis is a sudden and severe kidney infection. This condition causes the kidneys to swell, can permanently damage the kidneys, and can even be life-threatening," according to Healthline.com. Homan's body went unclaimed and the final disposition of her body was carried out per county policy. The county's policy is as follows: "When the coroner investigates the death of a person whose body is not claimed by a friend or relative within five (5) days of the date of discovery and whose death does not require further investigation, he shall cause the body to be decently buried. The expense of the burial shall be paid from any property found with the body. If no property is found, the expense of the burial shall be paid by the county in which the investigation occurs."
