Dispatch: Stolen license plates, truck on fire and more

Here is Friday's recap of law enforcement activity from around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Riverton Police Department* *Arrests:* *Eldon Antelope*, 51, Riverton, Public Intoxication. *Joshua D. Perrett*, Riverton, on a FCSO warrant. *John M. Chavez*, 33, Riverton, Public Intoxication. *Calls:* There were 42 calls for service. Two truck windows were reported broken out of a truck parked in the 800 block of East Adams. A report had not yet been completed. Around 9:20 a.m. a motorist reported being passed in a school zone in the 400 block of North 8th West. Central Wyoming College Security and Riverton Police were notified that someone had removed the license plates from a vehicle in the Health and Science Center parking lot. A description of the suspect and the vehicle they were in was provided. A quantity of cigarettes, not disclosed, was confiscated from Walmart by the Wyoming Department of Revenue for not having an excise tax stamp on the packages. A Riverton city employee spotted someone in town driving a “city” vehicle that they did not recognize. The employee feared that someone had taken off in a city vehicle. The vehicle was contacted. It was an employee of the Town of Dubois driving one of their town vehicles. Police were advised by officials at Walmart that a number of counterfeit bills was passed at their store last weekend. An investigation is underway. The bills were believed to be of the $100 denomination. The truck's engine compartment caught on fire and the transmission was released, causing the truck to run into another parked vehicle which then ran into the vehicle in front of it. (Jeannie Naef / Pitchengine Communities) * A bicycle apparently ran into the side of a 2004 maroon Chevrolet Blazer causing some $200 in damage in the 700 block of North Federal. A woman called police from Spire Drive just after 11 p.m. to complain that it was her birthday, and to celebrate, her husband went out and got intoxicated and the couple then got into an argument when he got home. No action was taken as the argument was verbal only. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *Newell Duran,* 50, Arapahoe, Probation Revocation. *Garrett Lee*, 40, Lander, Failure to Pay Fines. *Calls:* At 7:50 a.m., a caller on North Smith Road to reported that there were three coyotes on a property shared by lambs and sheep. A pipe bomb was reportedly found at a property in the Lander area. Read more here . A caller on Tumbleweed Court outside of Lander complained about a neighbors' trash blowing into his yard. Deputies assisted Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation agents with a drug related search in the Riverton area. Additional information was not immediately available. A caller outside of Lander reported that a dog attacked chickens. *Lander Police Department* Arrests/Citations: Daryl Lynette Makeshine, 30, Lander, Domestic Battery. Calls: A hit and run was reported around 12:40 p.m. in the Mr. D's parking lot on Thursday. There was more than $1,000 in damage to the victim vehicle. The suspect vehicle left the scene and is unknown at this time. A caller at Safeway reportedly accidentally left their cell phone in the bathroom, and when they went to retrieve it, it was gone. The report is under investigation. At 4:16 p.m., a caller on Sweetwater Street reported a possible knife being pulled during a fire among juvenile males. No one was injured, and the report is still being investigated. At 6:36 p.m., a caller on the 400 block of North Eighth reported two vehicles racing. Police were unable to find the vehicles in question. An unknown man possibly shoplifted a bag of jerky from a store on Main Street. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 20 calls for service Thursday into Friday morning.
