Dispatch: Suspicious bones found; Car abandoned after crash

Read the full story on this arrest here . *Calls:* On Friday morning, a caller in Pavillion reported a stolen vehicle. However, when deputies attempted to get additional information, the original reporting party was unreachable. A theft in the Riverton area is under investigation. Additional details were redacted. An investigation into the possible abuse of horses outside of Riverton is continuing. At 8:37 p.m., a caller on Sage Drive reported hearing a bunch of banging downstairs and found windows open and stuff moved around. Deputies were unable to find anyone in the area. A 35-year-old man and 33-year-old woman of Dubois were cited for battery after they allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman. One of the victims was reportedly knocked out during the incident, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday in Dubois. At 11:26 a.m. on Saturday, a caller reported possibly finding human remains in a burn pit off Sand Draw Road. The bones were determined to be from a dog. A Hudson man reportedly received a threatening message with regard to his dog's barking. At 2:20 p.m., an anonymous caller on Cooper Road reported that a registered sex offender had taken a little girl into his house. The report was determined to be unfounded; the man allowed a search of the residence, and there were no minors inside. At 4:53 p.m., a caller on Shoshoni reported seeing a possible intoxicated individual abduct someone. Deputies made contact and determined that it was a verbal domestic disturbance. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *An 18-year-old Lander woman* was cited for Speeding, Excessive Acceleration, and Careless Driving. *A 41-year-old Lander man* was cited for a barking dog in the area of North Fifth and Amoretti Streets at 11:05 p.m. on Sunday. *Donna Gambler*, 35, Fort Washakie, FCSO Warrant and Open Container. *John Chavez*, 33, Riverton, Public Intoxication and Open Container. *Calls:* At 10 a.m. on Friday, a caller on Jefferson Street reported illegal trash dumping. The subject was contacted and warned. Police took a report of someone using a local's information to file their taxes. At 3:54 p.m., a caller on Wood Street reported a smell of marijuana coming from a home in the area coupled with sounds of people yelling. Police arrived and were unable to verify either the smell or the yelling. A Saturday report of trespassing was determined to be unfounded. On Sunday morning at 9:44 a.m., police, firefighters, and EMS were called to the 600 block of Lincoln Street for a report of a black Volvo with Kentucky plates that knocked over a mailbox and hit a fence. The vehicle was abandoned when police arrived. There was more than $1,000 in damage; the wreck is still under investigation. A 2010 silver Chevy Malibu was reported stolen from Four Season Drive on Sunday afternoon. That report is still under investigation. *Riverton Police Department* RPD call details were not immediately available. *Fremont County EMS* Ambulance crews responded to 31 calls for service over the weekend.
