Pinedale gets recognition as a Continental Divide Trail Community

Neighboring mountain town Pinedale has a new designation under its belt: Continental Divide Trail Gateway Community. The proclamation of the designation was signed last month by Pinedale Mayor Bob Jones and Continental Divide Trail Coalition Executive Director Teresa Martinez. The town earned the designation because the "King of Trails," which is 3,100 miles long, passes through Pinedale and because the town is important for the trail's sustainability. According to the proclamation, "the designation will act as a catalyst for enhancing economic development, engaging Pinedale area citizens as Trail visitors and stewards, and helping community members see the Trail as a resource and asset." *photo h/t Mr. Pockets / edited by Pitchengine Communities* #county10 #buckrail #news
