Lander school gearing up 3rd year of Pushups for Clean Water

For the third year in a row, the Third Grad Student Council at Gannett Peak Elementary School has organized a Pushups for Clean Water event. The goal is to raise money $2,000 to send to children in Africa, which will go toward building wells and rainwater harvesting systems for villages. On Monday afternoon from 3:15-4:15 p.m., the Student Council will be canvasing local businesses seeking donations. And then at 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, students school-wide will do pushups to raise awareness for the cause. The date is also World Water Day. RainCatcher's (one of the partnering organizations) Executive Director David Zielski is flying into Lander for the fun. #county10 #news
