LVHS FBLA brings home 16 top four finishes in state competition

(Lander, Wyo.) - Lander Valley High School Future Business Leaders of American spent March 17 - 19, 2016 competing at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Cheyenne. The chapter represented Lander and LVHS very well during the three day competition in over 60 events against 34 other chapters from around the state, FBLA Advisor John Rounds said. LVHS FBLA took 35 members to Cheyenne who competed against 669 total contestants from around the state. The following LVHS members placed: 1st Place: Joe Crane - Business Calculations Taurey Carr - Economics Mac Mann-Wood, Keona Tamez & Holly Reed - American Enterprise Project Sadie Thatch, Tayler Pereda & Sydney Polson - Partnership with Business Project 2nd Place: Taurey Carr - Business Calculations Sydney Polson, Jake Calhoun & Payton Thomas - Community Service Project Joe Crane, Jenny Nielsen & Rachel Kauffman - Local Chapter Annual Report 3rd Place: Kimberlee Carey - Economics Christian Hnilicka, James Whiting, Joe Crane - Global Business Rachel Kauffman & Jenny Nielsen - Management Decision Making Jake Calhoun, Keegan Harrison & Taurey Carr - Sports & Entertainment Management Sage Sutton, Emilie Ulrich & Jenna Kaufmann - Social Media Campaign 4th Place: Autumn Jensen - Economics Autumn Jensen & Alex Jacobson - Emerging Business Issues Anthony Hartl - Intro to Business Allison Brown & Tessa Rodgers - Intro to Business Presentation These 24 members have now earned the opportunity to go and compete and the 2016 FBLA National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, GA against the best and brightest FBLA members from around the nation from June 29 - July 2,
