Lander Elementary students do Pushups for Clean Water

Today, Gannett Peak Elementary School's intrepid students, led by the Third Grade Student Council, participated in the third annual Pushups for Clean Water. Right after 8 a.m., all the students gathered in the hallway to do pushups to raise awareness of the need for clean water for their elementary-aged counterparts in Africa. The goal was to raise money $2,000 to send to children in Africa, which will go toward building wells and rainwater harvesting systems for villages. The total of what was raised hasn't been calculated yet. Students at Baldwin Creek Elementary also participated in the pushups. RainCatcher's (one of the partnering organizations) Executive Director David Zielski flew into Lander for the fun.
