Mountain Snowpack gaining: More water this summer

(Casper, Wyo.) - The snowpack in the Wind River Basin increased during the last week by eight points to 90 percent of the 30-year median. One year ago, the snowpack was a 77 percent of the median. In the Big Horn Basin, the snowpack was noted at 80 percent of median, up seven points from last week. This information was released before the big storm that is predicted to hit the area dumping as much as two feet or more in the Wind River and Absaroka ranges.
