Dispatch: Teens get in trouble; SUV gets stuck in Jeffrey City

(Fremont County, Wyo.) - Here is Friday's recap of law enforcement action around the county. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *A 17-year-old Riverton boy* was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. *Michael Gehnert*, 53, transient, Driving Under the Influence, No Interlock Device, Driving Under Suspension, and Failure to Maintain Lane of Travel. Gehnert was arrested following a traffic stop in Dubois at about 9:30 p.m. *Calls:* A report of a sex offender failing to register in the Riverton area is under investigation. Threats reported by an anonymous caller in the Lander area are also under investigation. Additional details were redacted from the media release. Search and Rescue was briefly called out to assist a group of people stuck in the snow in an SUV off Crooks Gap Road in the Jeffrey City area. The parties were eventually able to get back on the road on their own; there were no injures or assistance needed. At 2:31 p.m., deputies were called about some horses in the Riverton area that weren't being taken care of. The call is still under investigation, but deputies reported that the horses appeared to be ok. At 3:41 p.m., a caller on Midway Lane reported that someone broke into her house and stole a safe that had items in it. There are no suspects at this time. A report of a theft of food stamps was determined to be unfounded. *Lander Police Department* *Arrests/Citations:* *A 14-year-old Lander girl* was cited for Shoplifting after she was caught on Thursday afternoon trying to take $11 in make-up from a local store. *Calls:* A two vehicle crash on Highway 789 resulted in no injuries or citations. Loud late night music on Johnson Street was reported to police. Officers made contact and issued a warning. The music was turned down. At 12:57 a.m. on Friday, a caller on Main Street reported seeing a suspicious woman walking up and down the alley after someone tried kicking in the caller's door. The woman was unable to be located. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 20 calls for service Thursday into Friday morning. *Fire Departments* Pavillion Firefighters were called to assist with a wreck on Highway 26 near Riverton.
