Dispatch: Arrests; Woman scammed on Internet; Axe wielding child reported; Drunk babysitter arrested; Intoxicated man severely injured after punching a window

(Fremont County, Wyo.) - Here is Monday's recap of law enforcement activity from the weekend. All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. *Fremont County Sheriff's Office* *Arrests:* *William Schneider*, 45, Lander, two Failure to Appear warrants. *Calls:* At 9:28 a.m. on Friday, deputies were called to East Forest Avenue in Pavillion for a report of a dog attacking a child. The girl did not require medical attention, and the dog's owner was cited. At 1:19 a.m. on Saturday, a caller on Hudson's Main Street found the door to their vehicle wide open. Nothing was found missing; deputies took the report. At 3:12 a.m., a man on Snowberry Lane reported finding his daughter's ex-boyfriend searching around inside the caller's vehicles. Tools stolen from Rabbit Lane near Riverton a couple weeks ago were just reported on Saturday morning. A subject in Dubois reported that their mother was scammed out of $600 over the internet. On Saturday evening, deputies received a tip regarding "pornography." Additional information about the call was redacted from the media report; it remains under investigation. Another dog attack was reported, this time on Saturday evening in Shoshoni. The victim was not injured. The report was forwarded to the Shoshoni Police Department for follow-up. At 10:58 p.m. on Saturday, a caller on Sand Mesa Road reported subjects driving around, spotlighting and shooting. Deputies were unable to locate vehicle. At 1:10 p.m. on Sunday, a caller on Lyon's Valley Road reported that his dog had been shot. Investigation showed that the caller's neighbor had shot the dog while it was on his property; the man believed it had killed several of his chickens. No further action was taken at the request of the dog owner, the sheriff's office reports. At 5:44 p.m., a caller in Shoshoni reported that a child had struck her daughter's bike with an axe. Deputies determined that the 8-year-old boy had found an axe in an alley and was hitting things with it. The issue was worked out between parents. *Riverton Police Department * *Arrests/Citations:* *Dylan Mills,* 23, Lander, Possession of Marijuana (two dime bags). He was turned in by his mother. *Louis Norse*, 31, Cheyenne, Contempt of Court *A 36-year-old male *of Riverton was cited for driving without child restraints. The Red Corsica Chevrolet was called in for unsafe driving. *A 20-year-old male* of Riverton was cited for Battery and an *18-year-old male* also of Riverton was cited for Resisting following a fist fight in the 1200 block of North Federal. It was mutual combat. Both ended up with bloody noses and fat lips. *Rupert Brown*, 38, of Arapahoe, Contempt of Court *John Chavez,* 33, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Dustin Friday*, 25, Riverton, Contempt of Court *Courtney Smith*, 24, Ethete, Public Intoxication *Shirley Lujan*, 59, Riverton, Child Neglect (x3). It is alleged Lujan was babysitting her grandchildren and began drinking. It was determined she was intoxicated to the stage that she was unable to care for the children and was arrested. The children were all under the age of nine. *A 14-year-old Riverton female* was cited for use of Marijuana. She admitted slipping out of the house to smoke. Her parents called police. *Ronald Brown*, 49, St. Stephens, Public Intoxication *Leandra Eagle*, 30, Riverton, Public Intoxication *Chauncey Friday*, 49, Ethete, Public Intoxication *Two 18-year-olds from Riverton, a male and a female*, were cited during a traffic stop for Use of Marijuana. They were cited and sent home. *Samuel Whiteplume*, 38, of Arapahoe, Public Intoxication *Corwin RedTomahawk,* 20-year-old female, Riverton, Probation Revocation and Failure to Appear; Adele Gutierrez, 39, Riverton, Contempt of Court; Rusty Tabaho, 23, Riverton Contempt of Court. A complaint of disorderly contact was called in on Sunday. *Kenneth Shakespeare,* 30, of Arapahoe, Battery. He is alleged to have slugged a female in the mouth with his fist. (0.24% BAC) *Calls:* *There were 41 calls for service on Friday* At 1 pm police responded to a complaint of a motorcycle rider cruising up and down the pathway at a high rate of speed. He was contacted and advised motorcycles are not allowed on the pathway, and to slow down. No citations issues. At 2:19 p.m. a two-vehicle fender bender was reported in the 900 block of East Fremont between a green 2006 Toyota Tundra and a green 1997 Toyota Previa. Damage was over $1,000. The wife of a man arrested last week for aggravated assault called police to dispose of a mirror containing a white substance that she found in the house. Two sisters were involved in an altercation reported in the 1300 block of South Federal. One of the women who had a previous injury, had her stables torn out during the fight. She went to the hospital to get patched up again. Neither party wanted to press charges. A woman complained to police that she was being harassed on Facebook. The police advised the woman to unfriend the suspect. A hit and run was reported in the 600 block of North 10th East. A caller said an unknown vehicle had bumped into theirs breaking a license plate holder. Damage was estimated at $50. *Saturday* *There were 51 calls for service* A man who was cold to the touch was taken by ambulance for treatment of hypothermia Saturday at 5:16 am from the 700 block of East Lincoln. An unknown person or persons shot out the front window at HASCO Supply on South Federal at East Monroe. A damage estimate is pending. A vehicle crashed into a sign pillar in the 800 block of North Federal. There was little damage. An ambulance transported a man with a high blood alcohol level to the hospital from the 500 block of East Pershing. Two adult brothers were reported in mutual combat in the 1300 block of Fir Street. Neither wanted charges filed. Police were called to the 1300 block of Webbwood where a 15-year-old boy was reportedly out of control and would not listen to his mother. An officer arrived and calmed the kid down and suggest he have more respect for his elders. A weapon offense was alleged in the 800 block of North Federal when a caller said a man with a firearm pointed it at a clerk inside the business. The subject, however had just purchased a new knife and was showing it to the clerk, who was a friend. A 30-year-old man driving a four-wheeler missed a curve in the 400 block of Spruce Street and crashed into a porch. The man said he didn't see any damage, so he drove home. Police knew who the subject was, so they fetched him and returned him to the scene. According to a police report, the rider and the homeowner agreed that the man would pay $100 to have the porch damage repaired. No other action was taken. *Sunday* *There were 28 calls for service * At 3:09 a.m. a distraught driver was clocked going 100 mph on West Main Street. The emotional driver had apparently just broken up with his girlfriend. After stopping the vehicle, the officer had a chat with the driver, calmed him down and then let him go with a warning. At 5:16 a.m. a 25-year-old intoxicated Riverton man smashed his hand through a window in the 100 block of South Federal causing a grievous injury to his hand and arm. He was initially treated at SageWest Healthcare Hospital but then flown out for specialized care of the injury. Police received a report of pornography targeting teenage girls. The case is under investigation Read more . A customer at the Acme Theatre in downtown Riverton tried to take a movie poster on display. A full report of the incident is pending. A report of a domestic abuse is pending. The report originated in the 300 block of Spire Drive. Wyoming Honor Farm officers investigated a "suspicious" vehicle parked on the road in front of the facility. The vehicle had broken down. An anonymous caller reported the skate park at City Park had been trashed and that kids there were cussing at her. An officer was nearby and responded. He did not find any trash and noted there were adults at the site. A parent called complaining that her 15-year-old son was fighting with her and she wanted an officer to talk to him. The matter was referred to the School Resource Officer for a followup. *Lander Police Department* The weekend report from the LPD was unavailable this morning. Their information will be added later. *Fremont County Ambulance* EMS crews responded to 58 calls for service over the weekend. *Fire Departments* Firefighters were called out twice over the weekend, once for an alarm in Shoshoni and once for a wreck on Highway 789 near Riverton On Sunday evening.
