Betty Gene Trimmer

Betty Gene Trimmer, 82, of Lander, died on April 5, 2016 in the Wind River Nursing Home in Riverton. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lander. Visitation will begin 5:00 pm., Monday, April 11, 2016 in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rosary beginning 6:00 pm. Betty was born on May 28, 1933 to George J. Snyder and Emma W. Bansept in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Betty graduated from Fremont Vocational High School. Upon graduation she attended school at Casper College. She returned to Lander and married the love her life, Harvey S. Trimmer. They wed on May 9, 1954 at Holy Rosary Church. They started their life together in Lander and had seven children, which were her pride and joy. Betty was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She worked for NOLS and the Fremont County Planner’s Office. Betty was very devoted to her family. She loved to have her family home for endless hours of board games – especially Scrabble. She was also an active bridge player. She always loved the company of whoever she played against. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend and was always welcoming to whoever came into her home. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Snyder, husband, Harvey, sons, Harvey Jr. and Timothy, sister, Georgia Lee Yarborough and granddaughter, Megan Trimmer. Survivors include daughter, Liz (Milton Ontiveroz, Laramie); sons, Patrick (Maria Trimmer, Westminster, CO.), Thomas Trimmer (Falls Church, VA.), Andrew Trimmer (Lander), Jack (Jenni Trimmer, Casper); sister, Mary Ann (Bruce Phillips, Casper); grandchildren, Jason Trimmer (Lander), Justin Trimmer (Tempe, AZ), Levi Trimmer (Casper), Sarah Trimmer (Superior, CO.), Rachel Trimmer (Casper), Ashley Trimmer (New York City, N.Y.), Alexis Rae Ontiveroz (Laramie), AAron Ontiveroz (Denver, CO.), Austin Saúl-Patrick Ontiveroz (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Willy Washburn (Casper, WY), Billy Washburn (Lander, WY); great-grandchildren, Noa Magnolia, Joseph Jaxx, Jordan Ray, Alyson Kayla, Jakob Andrew, Kobe John, Justin Lee, Ashley Joe, Paige Kobe-Jean; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
